This 7-hour barista class is structured for coffee enthusiasts whom wish to brew espresso based beverages at home, start a career as a barista, or considering to start their own cafe. The course has a good mix of theory and hands-on sessions, aimed to give a participants a fun-filled and interactive start to their coffee journey. Some questions we will answer during the course: - From the coffee plant to the cup, how did that happen? - What is that big machine used to brew a small cup of coffee called espresso? - What is the barista doing behind that machine? - What is good coffee and what is bad coffee? - How to make a impressive latte art? The course fee of $446.90 (GST inclusive) is SkillsFuture Credit eligible. Certification by SCA is optional and will not be eligible for SkillsFuture Credit claim. A annual SCA membership fee of USD 70 is payable, on top of a certification fee of USD 50. These fees will be paid directly to SCA via their website. Pls indicate if you will like to opt for certification. Certification will include an online theory test. Certification can always be added on even after the course, so you do not need to make the decision now when you sign up here. The classes are conducted by Mr Darren Chang, a Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) authorised coffee trainer. Each class is kept small with 4-5 participants to a trainer.
