This 7-hour barista class is structured for coffee enthusiasts whom wish to brew espresso based beverages at home, start a career as a barista, or considering to start their own cafe. The course has a good mix of theory and hands-on sessions, aimed to give a participants a fun-filled and interactive start to their coffee journey. You will learn the following at this class: - The coffee journey from bean to cup - Espresso as a brewing method - Extraction theory and how that affects flavours - How to taste coffee and determine its quality - Operating an espresso machine to make different espresso based beverages - Latte art The course fee is $446.90 (GST inclusive). This course is both SkillsFuture (Base Tier) and UTAP claimable. Please refer to the websites below for more information on both support schemes: SkillsFuture: https://www.skillsfuture.gov.sg/initiatives/early-career/credit NTUC membership and UTAP: https://www.ntuc.org.sg/uportal/programmes/union-training-assistance-programme IMPORTANT: If you are using your SkillsFuture credits (Base Tier) to fund this course, please select "Pay in Person" when you check out and no payment is required. You will need to submit your SkillsFuture claim after you sign up to secure your spot. Certification by SCA is optional and not included in the course fee. An additional $100 (before GST) is payable if you opt for certification, which involves an online theory test. Please inform us separately after you sign up if you will like to opt for certification. Certification can always be added on even after the course, so you do not need to make the decision now when you sign up here. Each class is kept small with a maximum of 6 participants to a trainer.
